Genni Gunn (Vancouver)
Genni Gunn is a writer, musician and translator with two published novels — Tracing Iris (Raincoast, 2001) and Thrice Upon a Time (Quarry, 1990), two short story collections – Hungers (Raincoast, 2002) and On The Road (Oberon, 1991), two poetry collections — Faceless (Signature Editions, 2007) and Mating in Captivity (Quarry, 1993), as well as two translations from Italian of Dacia Maraini’s poetry. She has written an opera libretto — Alternate Visions (Chant Libres, Montreal, 2007). Finalist for the Commonwealth Prize, the Gerald Lampert Poetry Award, the Journey Prize, the John Glassco Translation Award, and the Premio Internazionale Diego Valeri, Genni has a B.F.A. and an M.F.A. from the University of British Columbia. She lives in Vancouver.
